Who Am I?
HEY! I am ABSD but my friends call me AB. My pronouns are they/them.
(Alyssa Barker-Sweeney DeLoach, my initials)
I began waking up in 2021 and became ABSD in 2022 when I married my best friend, and rock. I began healing and learned I was living a lie. Through mindset, spirituality, therapy (couples & individual), transpersonal psychology, ecology, forgiveness, and a ton of love - I became ME.
Through my own journey of learning how to love myself, I learned the importance that love has on the human experience. It made me realize how much we lack love in our basic everyday lives. It is my purpose to teach the importance of self-love. I believe through our individual love, we can come together as a collective consciousness to heal the planet and all Beings.
I created A Better Standard Direction to show how easy it is to choose love. Choosing to see yourself and others through the eyes of love not only makes your life a better place to be, but also puts that vibration into the universe. We are meant to love and be loved. I feel society has made us believe that our default should be judgment and it is my goal to help redefine this norm one human at a time.
Each of us has a choice and it is my choice to choose love.
Love is your birthright. You have been loved each and every day of your life whether or not you have inherently felt or known it.
Learning how to love yourself and embrace your unique authenticity is the greatest journey of being human. I want you to know how important your individualism is in this world. The collective needs you exactly the way you are.
Thank you for being here, being curious, and wanting to learn more about this movement and what it could mean in your life, the ones you love, and your community.
I love you! ~ AB
